How to use an CB auto antenna indoors

First what you need is a good CB antenna, in my test I'm using one made by Sirio the "Blue Line 1000" with a big magnetic mount made from steel, fixed on a "ground" available in my room .. an unused cast iron radiator near the window.

If you want to improve a bit your artificial ground, and do a better vertical polarization, then use a metallic grid.

Make a  coil from the coax cable on the middle ... 7 to 10 turns on 10 cm (4") diameter (this is a Choke loading coill resonant on freq.)

For tuning I use an Zetagi MM27, that's made for small power (under 100w).

Yep, it's working well, and this is the SWR on the middle of CEPT band. Nice I think :-)

Anyway, the best antenna for indoors use is of course an home made :-)
This one, has a 5 ft long, and is tune with an base magnetic loading coil + tansmatch ; there is no need for a grounding system.
